A Park Near Michigan

Yesterday was a very fun day, however I was very tired at the end of it. I fell asleep at 8:00, I didn't even get to post my blog about it.
I drove back home to the Roselle area yesterday to meet up with my friend Chandra. We drove all the way out to Waukegan and went to a very large four floor park. It was wicked awesome, they had some insane playground equipment. We didn't even realize it was so close to Lake Michigan. Literally we could see the lake right in front of us as we were driving to the park. After the park we had to stop and see the lake so we drove, drove and drove some more around all these confusing roads. We finally made it to this harbor place where we were able to stand by Lake Michigan. That didn't last long, it was absolutely freezing out. We got out, stayed long enough to take a few pictures of the lake. Then take a picture of us together in front of Lake Michigan and then we hopped back in the warm car and headed for home.
We arrived back in Roselle and we went shopping at Discovery for quite a while picking out dozens of clothes only to find out you cant try anything on there. After our shopping trip fail we went to Party City and picked up a bunch of decorations for our friends 22nd birthday on April 1st. We are throwing her a surprise hotel party girls night on Friday so we had to get supplies to decorate the hotel room.
In the end I had to drive all the way back to Lockport and I was really tired. I ended up falling asleep real early but seeing as though I had work this morning I guess that was a good idea.

First Visit

Today we were finally able to make it over to Owen and Donna's house to meet the new Burritt twins for the very first time. Gwyneth and Lillian are so tiny and cute, its almost scary holding something that fragile. It was such a beautiful day today. It was nice to get out of the house and go do something before I'm stuck at work all night. We even dragged great grandma along to meet her new grandchildren.
Even though the twins are fraternal and have a few distinct differences I still couldn't tell them apart. We kept having to ask which one was Gwyneth and which was Lillian. Charlotte was very excited to show us her new sisters. She cant say Gwyneth yet, only baby G. However, she's mastered Lillian but she wouldn't say it while we were there.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Yesterday was St. Patricks Day and I planned on doing alot more but my friend and I just ended up hanging out in my basement. After a while of listening to music, drinking green river and attempting to play fuse ball and ping pong we got really bored. We ended up going to Meijer and walking around the entire store and leaving with a bunch of candy. All in all I cant say it was a terrible day but it wasn't what I thought it was going to be at all. Happy St. Patricks Day Everyone!

Extreme!

Yesterday I met up with John and a bunch of our friends from work. John, Olivia, Jessica, Pedro and I all went to Extreme Trampoline. None of them had never been there before so I insisted we plan a day to go. It worked out that we were all able to go yesterday so we all met up at work and I drove us there.
I highly recommend this place for working out or even just for fun. It has different areas of trampolines for every different age group, a foam pit and even an area where you can play dodge ball. Its sad that I never knew of this place until just this year because its a fun place for kids. I'm sure I would of had tons of fun if I would have gone to Extreme Trampoline as a kid.
We had so much fun yesterday! Its great going with a group of people, we'll definitely have to make it there again ASAP!

Struggle for the camera...

This past weekend I did a photo shoot for my Advanced Lighting class. The topic was struggle, I used my best friend Chandra as a model. She models for all my projects and loves doing it no matter what the topic. Instead of doing fashion or pinups, this time I had Chandra pose for the camera as a drugy and an alcohol addict. This topic was pretty extreme but she did an amazing job!
This week I've been busy working on editing all the photos I shot so I can hand my final prints in at the end of the quarter before spring break.
I have a few weeks before I need to turn my final photos in so if you happen to be reading this blog post I'd love some feedback.
The two images below are the same, the original and the edited version. I shot this image of Chandra posing as an alcoholic. We shot this in her basement with a lighting kit I rented from school. I've only posted one original and edited image to this blog post but I shot at least 300 pictures the day we did this. This picture that I posted is by far one of our favorite images of the day. What do you think?

Rapist at my school!

A girl that attends my art school went to the head of the school in deep concern last week. One of the guys in her class was saying weird things to her and stalking her. My school didn't do anything, they wouldn't even listen to her. They even turned it back on her saying she was being silly and blaming her for this stuff. She then went to the police and they found out that this guy was a sex offender who had previously stalked and raped three other girls. The police came and arrested this guy last week. My school is keeping this whole ordeal under raps, they aren't telling anyone. Everyone is extremely angry as ever at the school for not doing anything about this. After this girl came to them needing help and extremely concerned about this guy they did nothing. This guy isn't aloud to come anywhere near our campus or anywhere near the Woodfeild mall area now.
People are urging this girl to sue the school. Everyone is saying the school should pay for her tuition for this quarter because of this incident. People should be aware of this incident as well so they can be careful of this guy. There should be posters or pictures around letting people know about this so they can be careful.
However, the school is just keeping quiet. They don't want this incident to get out, they are doing nothing. The only reason I heard about this was because my teacher told our class. He said he was very angry at the school over this incident and that everyone attending this school deserves to know what happend.
