Kristis in College!!!!

Today was Kristi's first official day of college. She is attending College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn for now. She wants to go into the medical field and they do have a nursing program at COD that she can try to get accepted into. Right now I believe she is just taking her general ed courses. The counselor told her to start off part time with two classes instead of the normal full time of four classes. He said it would look better in the long run when she is trying to apply to get into the nursing program. Although everyone keeps telling Kristi she should stay in nursing and become a nurse she wants to branch off into a less well known field. She wants to do radiology or maybe even become an ultrasound technician. I'm sure she'll change her mind down the road but that's where shes at right now. She'll only be going to school two days out of the week. Only on Monday and Wednesday I assume because her first class started today at 9:00 am. She'll probably be out around noon sometime and then she has to go to work. She actually got a job this past week as well so that's pretty exciting! Talk about coincidence, she is working at AMC Theaters as well. However, she is working at AMC Yorktown which is farther away then AMC Schaumburg where I am at. Its all the same uniforms, policy's and stuff but its just a different theater. She owes my dad alot of money from all the tickets, court and other debts shes cost him the fast few months. Thus, her first few pay checks will all be going right to him. She has got to get her books for school as well so even though shes got a job now she wont have any money for quite a while. I wish her luck with college, shes not a very motivated person but hopefully she'll do alright.

Hanson Concert

About two years ago my friend Olivia was hanging out with my boyfriend John and I in his basement and we were on my YouTube channel. Suddenly, Olivia reads through my music category and notices I have Hanson listed. "You like Hanson!" she says, "I'm a huge Hanson fan"
"I don't know anyone else who likes Hanson". From that day on we made a pact that we would go see them in concert at the House of Blues in Chicago.
That sounded alot like a book! Haha. Anyways yesterday was Friday the 13th, luckily nothing bad happened to us while we were downtown. We caught the train around 3:00 and headed down to Chicago for a Hanson concert at the House of Blues. This was my second time seeing Hanson in concert. Olivia and I went last October to see them as well. Olivia has seen them in concert three times but the first time she ever went to see them she went alone. At that time she didn't know me and so she didn't know anyone else who was into them. Hanson isn't a huge famous popular band anymore so Hanson fans are few and far between. However, now she has a Fanson buddy (Hanson Fan Buddy) to go to all the concerts with.
The show was amazing, even better then last time! I was awe struck at how good the opening act was as well and at how amazing Hanson's new songs were. Hanson played a mixture of there old songs and they also played quite a few songs from there new album. The opening act was Rooney, a band I had never heard of before. They were amazing though, alot of there songs were fun and upbeat. I freaking love Rooney, they did a great job. Now of course your technically not aloud to take pictures or video tape but that's no fun! I took a bunch of pictures and video taped half the concert. They don't check anyones bags or camera cases when they walk in so I got in with all my gear and I got alot of good footage.
Theres not many Hanson fans that I personally know of besides Olivia, nobody really knows Hanson still exists haha. Those few people who still actually remember the band Hanson usually just know them as those long blonde hair brothers or they know them as the guys who created the song MMMBop or even those three brothers who look like girls. However, they are all amazingly talented and they are now all married and have kids so nobody can make fun of them!
I plan on going to see many more Hanson Concerts at House of Blues with Olivia, we'll start a tradition and go every year.

Me sporting my lovley I love Hanson t-shirt. After the concert we didnt have time to go to the bathroom and buy merchendise. So what did we do... we risked peeing in our pants and got merchendise instead. After we waited forever through the crowd to buy our stuff we had to sprint back to Union Station. We had to try and catch the 10:50 train because if we didnt make that train the next one wasnt until 12:40. We sprinted as fast as we could from the House of Blues to Union Station almost peeing ourselfs. We finally made it to the train station and the train was gone, we had missed it. We had two whole hours to kill, some how me made it through the two hours and eventually got on the train and made it home. I didnt get home until about 2:00 am.

Kristi turned 18!

Today is Kristi's 18th Birthday. Since it falls on a Monday everyone still has work and I still have school. Thus, Kristi pretty much did her own thing all day today. Maybe we'll go out to dinner this week sometime? I'm not really sure what we'll do but Kristi went out to dinner with her boyfriend tonight. I'm not sure where they were going but I hope she has a good time. I gave Kristi $30 bucks for her birthday because she asked me to give her money. Honestly, shes such a picky person at this point in her life I don't really know what else to give her. The only thing she ever really does want is clothes. Seems she never has enough of those! The money I gave her she will be using to buy two pet rats with her boyfriend. Apparently they will be sharing them so we'll see how that goes. They'll be taking turns caring for them and switching off whos house they live at I guess. Each rat is $10 so her and her boyfriend are each going to buy one. She has had gerbils before so she has some experience in the rodent area.
Anyways, you only turn 18 once so I hope she has a good birthday.
Happy Birthday Kristi!

Pet sitting again =D

This week has been going by so fast, its Wednesday already! I'm pet sitting again, this time at my Cousin Owens house. I arrived here on Sunday after we got back from the wedding and I'll be here until this coming Sunday. This time I'm closer to school and work which is really nice. My cousin and his wife Donna only live in Bartlett so its still the same distance to work and school as it would be from my house. So this week I'm at there house watching there dog Artu all week and its great! Hes such a well behaved dog!! As long as you throw a dog bone out onto the deck he'll do his duty and be back in a flash. Hes an easy dog to take care of. After this week all my summer busyness will come to an end and I'll be back to my normal life at home. I have a few things here and there going on to keep me busy and not bored out of my mind so that's good. Its been a great summer! Its still summer now but schools just around the corner. Everyone will be going back to college and alot of people will be starting college as well. Kristi starts College of DuPage in August sometime. That's kind of scary!

Wedding Pictures

There were TONS of pictures from the wedding that I had shot, a bit over 500 or so. I couldn't possibly post them all but here's a few highlights from the wedding. All the pictures turned out very well! Everyone was very satisfied with them. We went to the brides parents house the day after the wedding and uploaded them straight to her computer. She wanted them right away! Everybody loved them so that definitely made me feel really good!

Happy Birthday Danielle

So today is my best friend in the whole wide worlds birthday. Danielle turned 20 years old today, I cant believe it!
She is no longer a teenager anymore. Now that we're getting older theres alot more opportunities and things we can go out and do together. We definitely need to take a road trip together like we planned! Now that we're both older and have jobs and such we can take our road trip to Cedar Point. Next summer for sure, totally! We both have family that live in Ohio so theres no reason to not take this trip. Weather we camp out in our car for the weekend, stay at some families house or get a hotel somewhere.. this trip is definitely going to happen!
Anyways, this short blog post is me saying Happy Birthday Danielle. We've been friends since before we could talk. I cant believe its been that long and we're still bestest friends.
Remember when we used to play barbies in your basement. Remember when we used to go walking in the river at the forest preserve. Remember when we used to sleep over at your grandma Tess's house and she would take us to Kitty Land. Remember when you moved away down the block, we were all devastated! Devastated that you were moving three minutes away haha! Now that I look back on it I just laugh. Theres so many remember whens, and more to come. I lovvveeee you Danielle! Have a great birthday.

Coty and Emilys Wedding

The wedding was a blast! John and I left around 10:00 am on Saturday the 31st and arrived around 11:30ish. The Bride and some of her family had just gotten back to her parents house from setting up the decorations at the pavilion. We all just hung out at her parents house for a bit while the bride and all her bridesmaids got there hair and makeup done. John and I had left so early so we could arrived ahead of time and I could get shots of the bride and her bridesmaids while they got ready. However, the ceremony did not start until 2:00 pm.
Around 1:00 we all left to drive over to the pavilion. Once it was almost 2:00 the groom showed up and we all hung out and then his groomsmen put a tshirt over his head and took him to the back so he wouldn't see the bride arrive. It had pored rain the night before and sprinkled rain earlier that morning so the ground was pretty soggy. Thus, they moved the ceremony under the pavilion. It was originally supposed to be in the grass. The reception was also at the pavilion directly after the ceremony.
Although the wedding wasn't traditional like you usually see it was still great fun. There was some music playing in the background but there was no dancing and no first dance. Everyone mostly just hung out and talked the whole time. The bridesmaids walked down the isle alone, the groomsmen were already up front.
A bunch of people I work with were there and we all had a nice time. The bride and groom are huge star wars fans so they had a remote control R2D2 at the wedding that the brides dad had built for her when she was younger. Later on they even had Darth Vader and some of his crew invade the wedding. It was a surprise, the bride set it up for the groom. He didn't know anything about it at all, it was hilarious! They came in with a mug shot of the groom and invaded the wedding asking everyone where the groom was. Then they put him in shackles and they gave the bride a plastic gun. It was great!
Later on we all left for the hotel. We stayed at the Marriott and they had three rooms reserved for all the people staying over. However, the air conditioning broke in one of the suits reserved for us. The hotel said they had no more open rooms for us so we ended up only having two rooms. It was mostly all the people from my work that stayed over in the hotel. There ended up being quite a bit of the bride and grooms other friends that ended up staying over night anyways. The room John and I ended up sleeping in was packed! There was John and I on the only one bed there was in the room. Later in the night another random from guy from the wedding ended up sleeping in the bed with John and I since it was such a big bed. Another guy slept on the chair, two guys crashed on the floor and two other people slept on the single fold out bed. There was like eight people who slept in this room that is technically only meant for two people. It worked out though, most everyone didn't end up going to sleep until like 3:00 am anyways. At midnight everyone was just heading for the pool, I guess the pool never closes? We were all at the pool until almost 1:00 am. I ended up falling asleep but alot of other people stayed up in our room playing video games all night.
It was fun and pretty and crazy and insane, so many words to describe it but I'm glad they asked me to be the photographer. It was nice to take a mini trip and have a change of scenery.
