Working Halloween Weekend

This year for work we were able to dress up Today aka October 30th and we're aloud to dress up for Halloween tomorrow as well. The past few years we've only been able to dress up on Halloween. Thus, nobody was dressed up this morning because they hadn't read the email that said we were aloud to dress up both days. I was the only one dressed up in my spider girl costume for morning shift. By about 2:00 pm two other people came in and they had costumes on so I wasn't the only one after that. However, barley anyone dressed up today. Tomorrow is officially Halloween, a holiday were your supposed to dress up in a costume. Furthermore, I hope to see everyone in costumes tomorrow. I always have my camera with me so of course I took a few pictures of the people that did wear costumes today. I hope to take a bunch more tomorrow.

Ski Club Halloween Party

Tonight was the Four Winds Ski Club Hallowen Party that we hosted at our house this year. The theme this year was to dress as a character from your favorite movie or just as any character from any movie. We had a chili contest and a costume contest. The prizes went out to best chili and the most original chili. There ended up only being three chili's but even so it was still great! We used to have almost twenty chili's until they started putting a limit on how many could be brought. Now each year they only have about six of them. This year alot of people couldnt make it though so we only ended up having three chili's. We also had a costume contest, best male, best female, best girl and best boy. Not many kids come to the party anymore though so its hard to do best girl and best boy anymore. Its mostly just adults and even the names that are put down under the kids catagorie such as Kristi and I dont even really count anymore. We're not really considered kids at this point. However, people dont really even know how old we are. Anyways, I was spider man. Toby Maguire by day... SPIDER MAN by night! I dressed up for work today as spider girl to so I just kept my costume on after work until the party started. Cant wait till Halloween, I cant believe its tomorrow already.

Paranormal Activity 2

I used to be scared to the extreme of any type of scary movie or even TV show when I was younger. My parents would watch X-files and I would leave the room because it was to scary for me. First of all, I own every season of X-files now and it is my favorite TV show. However, that's besides the point. Now I look for the scariest movies, I love suspense and crime shows on TV as well. I've totally changed from when I was a younger. I also love shows about the paranormal but that's one thing that scares me the most out of anything. The fact that it's real and that this could happen to anyone is what gets me the most.
However, I still cant get enough. I'm very particular when I'm watching anything that has to do with the paranormal though. I cant be alone, it cant be at night and it needs to be bright in the room. Anyways, I literally just got back from seeing Paranormal Activity 2 with John and my three friends. I really liked it but I was so scared the whole time. I was hiding behind my coat and plugging my ears half the movie. Now I'm at home in my room by myself, everyone else is asleep and I'm kind of paranoid. I'm just sitting here in my room blogging with all the lights on and the TV on. I'm watching Disney channel, maybe the happy Disney shows will make me ok before I go to sleep.
I definitely believe in paranormal activity. John has had quite a few experiences and it makes me believe even more. The house John used to live in with all the same guys and his landlord was apparently haunted. John didn't tell me anything about this until they had moved out of the house and moved into there new house down the street. It randomly came up one day and I was shocked! If he would have told me about this while he still lived there I don't think I would of ever gone back inside that house. John's room was the landlord's sons old room. He moved out of that room because he had terrible experiences in that room and he couldn't live in there. Now the house is vacant, theres nothing inside but when we used to go on walks at night during the summer we would walk by and there would be a light on upstairs. Or every so often the main lights in the downstairs living room area would be on. Theres no way to get inside that house, its empty and vacant. It scares the heck out of me to think about that fact that I used to hang out in that house and in Johns room all the time. I never had any experiences in that house but walking by and seeing a light on scares me to death.

Jason's Haunted House

Yesterday was John's buddies haunted house. His names Jason, he lives in St. Charles and they have a bunch of haunted houses around that area that people set up at there homes. They have judging and everything, its quite spectacular! Anyways, Jason does a haunted house in his backyard every year. I come to take pictures and film it every year. Yesterday I went early and hung out there with my friend Chandra because we also recruited her boyfriend to help out so she came along to. Ever since her boyfriend Chester found out about it he wanted to work it.
Chester was Michael Meyers and John was Pinhead, they were very scary. There were some other characters inside the haunted house and they had two guys outside with chainsaws chasing people as well. One of the guys with chainsaws was Jason, hes better of outside so he can keep track of everything and talk to people.
So overall, it was a fun night. My parents came and we all went through the haunted house together. After that my parents left but Chandra and I just hung around until 10:00 when we were shut down by the cops. By 9:00 the cops had already been there to tell the guys they couldn't use there chainsaws anymore and by 10:00 the cops were back to tell us we had to shut down.
Jason has won prizes every year for his haunted house, unfortunately this year he didn't win anything. They say they have to be fair to everyone so people will keep on doing it every year.
Every year he says hes not doing it again next year and every year he does it again so we'll see what happens next year.

Edwards Apple Orchard

It's that time of year again, October. Every October my family and I go to Edwards Apple Orchard and go apple picking. Its been a tradition for quite a while now. We go every single year around this time. This year its been a bit crazy, it was hard figuring out when we were going to make it out there but we finally went today. Unfortunately since the weathers been so nice almost all of the apples had been picked so there was no apple picking today. My aunt called the place ahead of time and they had said they weren't doing apple picking this weekend. However, we decided to go anyways and it was still a good time. Its something to do and it was nice to get out of the house. I had off of work today so I didn't wanna miss out on our trip even if we couldn't go apple picking. Aunt Laurel and Uncle Larry came along and had Charlotte with them so she was very entertaining. We walked around and then we got apple donuts which was the highlight of the trip. We played in the play area with Charlotte, listened to the band and Charlotte even went on a pony ride.

Dream Reapers

Yesterday John and I went to our first haunted house of the season. I absolutely hate haunted houses but it was chance for me to hang out with my good friend Chandra. It was also a chance for me to meet her boyfriend who I had never met before. She talks so much about him but I had never gotten a chance to hang out with him until yesterday. I avoid haunted houses at all costs but yesterday I did make it through all right. We went to a haunted house called Dream Reapers in Melrose Park. When Chandra invited John and I to go I really didn't want to but I couldn't turn the opportunity down. Chandra and I are both so busy and when else was I going to get a chance to meet Chester, her new boyfriend. Waiting in line wasn't so bad because they had a dead Michael Jackson dancing and scaring people while we waited. Of course I would get chosen by the guide to lead the group but there was no way I was going first so John led us all. I was loud and obnoxious the whole time, jumping around and screaming because it makes me feel better when I'm inside the haunted house.
This was Chandra's first haunted house, I didn't know how see was going to do. She has panic attacks so we were all a bit nervous about her doing this but it turned out great. She loved it!
Unfortunately I couldn't bring my video camera or even my camera to take any pictures while we waited around. There was nothing aloud inside.
After the haunted house we went to IHOP and had breakfast. It was yummy!

First day back to school

Today was the first day of my new quarter at school. It was nice being off all week because I did so many great things. Getting back to school today was tough after that week off.
Yesterday night I must have been half asleep when I set my alarm because I set it so I would get up around 7:00 am to leave around 8:00 am. That way I would get to school around 8:30 so I would have enough time to get my schedule and get to class by 9:00 am. But no! I'm sitting in my kitchen eating breakfast and I realise, my class is at 8:00 am! I wasn't thinking right and I set my alarm clock wrong. By that time it was already 7:36 so I was completely late. I have to leave at least a half an hour to get to school. I literally dumped my breakfast into the garbage, through on the clothes I wore yesterday and raced out the door. I didn't even brush my hair today. I got to school and I had to wait in a huge long line to get my schedule, it was insane. I finally get to class and its almost 9:00 but luckily its only the first day so the teacher was very lenient. I wasn't the only one late, there were other people still coming in as well so I was very thankful. Hopefully the rest of my day goes by smoothly. On Wednesday I'll make sure I set my alarm clock for the right time.
I only have class on Monday and Wednesdays so I only have to worry about waking up and being to class by 8:00 twice a week. The rest of the days in the week I can be free and careless unless I have work.
